Why Bitcoin Atlantis?

F.R.E.E. Madeira – Fórum Regional Educação Económica (Regional Forum for Economic Education), is a non-profit association established in 2022 that is dedicated to integrating Bitcoin into the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The association focuses on various areas, including financial and technological education, payment systems and foreign exchange, energy, and financial hubs, as well as the incorporation of technological companies and hosting large-scale events.

We are so passionate about what we do that the idea of organising a Bitcoin-only conference and sharing our beautiful island with the world just made sense!

What is the purpose of this Conference?

Bitcoin Atlantis stands out for its focus on Bitcoin's technology and innovation, as well as its discussions on world-changing topics like decentralising energy and developing global opportunities.

The primary objective of the event is to delve into the possibilities of a better future that Bitcoin presents. The event also aims to establish Madeira Island as a global destination in the fields of Bitcoin and technology, highlighting its potential and quality of life.

We propose you schedule at least a one-week vacation, bring your family, and enjoy Madeira Island, while attending a 3-day conference that will unite all the Bitcoin Giants! We’re making it one to remember.

Why you’ll want to be here

Bitcoin Atlantis will bring out its first edition in 2024 and already has the confirmation of the main voices of the Bitcoin universe, such as the four giants: Jack Dorsey, American entrepreneur and programmer, co-founder of Twitter and CEO of Square, Cashapp, and Spiral; Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, one of the largest data analytics companies in the USA; Jack Mallers, founder and CEO of Strike and Jeff Booth, General Partner of Ego Death Capital and chairman of several technology companies in Canada.

The program will be presented in different settings, giving visitors total freedom to choose the one that best suits their expectations. They will be able to attend presentations by the headliners on the main stage or the secondary (open-source) stage and take part in private meetings and workshops. Participants will access a wide range of activities – inside and outside the venue – packed with insights, explanations, and debates. They will be able to explore a showcase of companies and brands that unite technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the exhibition area; and get to know more and better regional companies and products.

If you’re just curious or don’t understand the technology and its impact, we’ll have you covered with informative panels and discussions to hopefully give you a first push into the Bitcoin rabbit hole. This means newbies are most welcome.

As we propose you schedule a family vacation to attend the conference and explore the magic of Madeira Island, we’ll take care of your next generation of bitcoiners during the conference days – with a dedicated Kids Area full of fun activities and some Bitcoin talks for the older ones. Our tutors can take care of your children while you enjoy the conference, all in the same venue!

The social and ludic part of the Conference will last all week, you won’t want to miss Satellite Events such as dinners, parties, walks in nature, boat trips, and the biggest of all: Atlas, a one-night Music Festival, featuring Theo Katzman, Joe Martin, The Higher Low, the local band NAPA, and more surprises to come!
